This year’s first Little League World Series matchup between Nevada and Ohio was as tight as it gets, so it’s only fitting they meet again with a berth in the championship game on the line.

Eight days ago, the team from Henderson, Nevada, rallied from a 5-2 deficit for a walk-off 6-5 victory over Hamilton, Ohio, in the teams’ opening game of the 2026 tournament.
Nevada cruised through its next two games to earn a spot in Saturday’s U.S. bracket championship game, while Ohio has won five straight elimination games — mostly by comfortable margins — to earn a rematch.
Each is hoping to become its state’s first LLWS champion. A different Nevada team reached the final last year before falling to Taiwan, while Hamilton came up short in the 2021 championship against Michigan in a World Series played without international teams due to COVID-19.
