There was no shortage of eye-catching plays made from all regions of country but one game-winning catch in particular caught the eye of many and was voted as the USA TODAY Sports top Play of the Week by the USA TODAY Sports audience.
A game-winning catch by Springfield 2028 five-star cornerback and ALL-USA Southeast Region preseason selection Jermaine Cobbins earned this week’s nod.

Facing a fourth-and-11 with just under 30 seconds remaining, Springfield quarterback Kason Woodson rolled out threw the ball Cobbins’ way. He won the arm fight with the East Nashville defender who slipped and hauled in the touchdown to put the Yellow Jackets up for good.
The catch was a part of a season-hog 10 catch night for Cobbins. He finished the evening with 58 yards while also registering two tackles on defense.
