The Portuguese fullback came up with a work of art after eight minutes when he fired in a powerful shot from the edge of the area that went in off the crossbar into the top corner of the goal out of the reach of the diving Julen Agirrezabala, leaving a lasting image to behold.
His strike illustrated his power and accuracy, and he has now been acknowledged with the best goal of the month award.
