Winning is nothing new for the Carl Albert (OK) Titans.
They’ve won more state championships than any other team in Oklahoma’s history (20), including four straight. On Friday night, Oct. 2, they added another accomplishment to the program’s illustrious history.

With a 41-6 win over Noble (OK), the Titans now own the state’s longest active win streak of 59 games in a row. They snapped Bixby’s streak of 58 that went from 2018-2022.
The Titans also have the longest active win streak in the country following Garden City’s (NY) 21-14 loss to Massapequa (NY) on Monday night and Sheridan’s (WY) 38-0 loss to Natrona County (WY) last Friday.
Carl Albert’s current streak began with a 45-2 win over Elk City (OK) on September 16, 2022. The Titans started the 2022 season 1-2 and their last loss came to Muskogee (OK) by a score of 35-28.
What followed that Muskogee loss was 11 consecutive wins to close out the 2022 season and the program’s 16th state championship. They followed up that season with three straight seasons where they finished 14-0 and claimed three more state championships.

The streak has been threatened at times, particularly this season.
Carl Albert opened its season with two of its wins coming by 12 points or less. The last two weeks were much closer as they held off Del City (OK) 31-28 and then kicked a game-winning field goal in the final minute last week to beat Guthrie (OK) 17-16.
On Friday night, the Titans had no issues whatsoever.
Carl Albert led by seven at the end of the first quarter and by halftime that lead had ballooned to 21-0. The Titans added three more touchdowns in the third quarter and any doubt that may have entered anyone’s mind before the game was quickly extinguished.
