Claim
A video purportedly shows a car dangling from overhead power cables under a flyover in Delhi.
Fact
On analysing the video, we noticed distortion in the text on hoardings and some human figures, raising doubts about its authenticity.
We then checked the footage on Hive Moderation which detected a 99.9% probability of AI-generated or deepfake content. Meta AI’s verification platform also detected AI signatures in the footage.
We also analysed the screengrabs from the video using WasItAI, which found the image to be AI-generated. Sightengine, similarly, detected signs indicating that the image was likely AI-generated.
Subsequent investigation led us to an Instagram post by Ravi Vijay Tammewar (@bhau_mitra_mandal_parbhani), dated August 28, 2026. The post clearly stated that the video was AI-generated. The account’s bio identifies the user as an AI creator, and the profile contains multiple AI-generated videos.

Hence, we could conclude that the viral video does not show a real incident in Delhi. The video is AI-generated and was later shared online with a false context.
