TTD gardens get AI boost in proposed maintenance plan

Tirupati: The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) plans to use artificial intelligence (AI) to improve the development and maintenance of gardens in Tirumala, a temple official said on Sunday.

Addressing a press conference at the Media Centre in Rambageecha-2, TTD Garden Deputy Director Srinivasulu said Tirumala has 34 gardens, of which 20 are maintained by donors and 14 by the temple administration.

AI-enabled support would help develop the gardens and improve their maintenance, he said.

Srinivasulu said devotees had appreciated the floral decorations arranged in Tirumala during the Srivari Brahmotsavams, with around 30 donors coming forward to support the initiative.

The decorations used approximately 60 tonnes of flowers, five lakh cut flowers and 80,000 seasonal flowers, he said.

The fruit-and-flower exhibition at Kalyana Vedika featured 24 concept-based floral displays designed to kindle children’s interest in the Puranas, he added.
