Five receptions for Dallas Goedert

Philadelphia Eagles TE Dallas Goedert caught five passes for 48 yards against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 7. He was targeted seven times.

Why It Matters: With both DeVonta Smith (hamstring) and Dontayvion Wicks (ankle) inactive, Goedert finished second on the club in targets, receptions, and yards to rookie Makai Lemon. The veteran tight end is a nice safety valve for Tanner McKee, though we’ll see if that translates into red-zone usage the way it did with Jalen Hurts as the triggerman. Until we see more from McKee, it’s best to view Goedert as a solid TE2 rather than the fringe TE1 he was when the offense was at full strength.
