The Mega Millions jackpot has climbed to $505 million for the Friday, Nov. 6, drawing, with a cash option of $213.3 million.
If someone wins Friday’s jackpot, the winner can choose between a one-time lump-sum payment or an annuity consisting of an immediate payment followed by annual payments that increase by 5% each year.
The Mega Millions jackpot was last won July 28, when a Florida ticket hit an $800 million prize, with a cash value of $344.2 million. The winning ticket was sold at a Wawa in Bradenton.

Mega Millions tickets are sold at convenience stores, gas stations, grocery stores and other lottery retailers. Some states also allow online purchases.
Players choose five white-ball numbers from 1 to 70 and one gold Mega Ball number from 1 to 24. Don’t want to pick your own? Ask for a Quick Pick, and the numbers will be generated for you.
Mega Millions tickets now come with a built-in multiplier that boosts non-jackpot prizes by two, three, four, five or 10 times. Previously, players had to pay extra to add the Megaplier option.
