Lead Rumor: Tiffany Stratton’s Money in the Bank win
Remember when rumors got out that WWE was planning on going ahead with Roxanne Perez to win the women’s Money in the Bank ladder match but decided against it because too many people expected it? She was the odds on favorite going into the show and then Tiffany Stratton took the briefcase down for the second time.
Fightful Select now says that was actually the plan for a number of weeks leading up to the event, and they didn’t make any last minute changes after all.
The original creative direction did involve Stratton challenging Chelsea Green for the women’s championship but the Money in the Bank win has opened the door to getting there a different way, assuming they haven’t changed their mind on it.
