Susan Collins, a Maine Republican, pressed acting Attorney General Todd Blanche about the newly created $1.7+ billion “anti-weaponization fund” as part of President Trump and the Justice Department’s settlement in a lawsuit against the IRS. Blanche defended the fund, saying it’s unusual but not unprecedented.
