American tourists are desperate to leave Mexico after stunning scenes of violence, including charred buildings, burned cars, and storefronts riddled with bullets in several popular resort areas. The chaos is being blamed on drug cartel members furious over the killing of their boss and drug kingpin Nemesio “El Mencho” Oseguera Cervantes by Mexican special forces.
