2 dead, 3 injured in shooting at Korean supermarket near Dallas

A business meeting ended in gunfire, killing at least two people and injuring three, at a Korean supermarket outside of Dallas, police said.

The injured were listed in stable condition following the shooting in front of Gwangjang Korean Market in Carrollton, about 25 miles north of downtown Dallas, Carrollton Police Chief Roberto Arredondo told reporters.

A male suspect, 69-year-old Seung Han Ho, was taken into custody after short foot chase, police said.

“Currently, there is no immediate threat to the public, this was a meeting with the suspect for a business purpose,” Arredondo said. “This is not a random act of gunfire.”

Investigators are still trying to determine if there was a dispute between the suspect and victims.

This was not a hate crime, police said.

“We don’t know exactly what the meeting was about, but we understand it to be a business relationship,” Arredondo said.

This is a developing story. Please check back for updates.
