2026 F1 United States Grand Prix – Austin results

Kimi Antonelli will have to wait another seven days to be crowned F1 drivers’ champion despite winning the United States Grand Prix.

From pole position, Mercedes’ star Antonelli comfortably took the chequered flag at the Circuit of the Americas for his ninth win of the campaign, by 13 seconds over Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc.

But with Lewis Hamilton fourth in his Ferrari, and George Russell eighth for Mercedes, it means the title fight spills over to the Mexico City Grand Prix next Sunday.

With five races remaining, Antonelli leads Russell by 123 points, and Hamilton by 124, so he needs to finish ninth or higher to become the youngest champion in F1 history.

In the constructors’ standings, Ferrari has closed in on Mercedes, but only by a single point, leaving the gap between the two teams at 133 points, with 215 points available.
