2026 midterm betting odds. See who’s favored to win House, Senate

Betting odds for the 2026 midterms have shifted slightly toward Republicans with just over two weeks until Election Day.

Lee Phelps, a spokesperson for U.K. bookmaker William Hill, told USA TODAY that there is some “speculative support” for Republicans to win both chambers, with large bets at long odds. Phelps said that Republicans holding their trifecta is “comfortably our biggest losing result.”

That betting action, which U.S. bookmakers cannot legally offer, is reflected in the odds of a Democratic sweep, which have lengthened slightly since USA TODAY last looked at the midterm odds posted by U.K. and offshore bookmakers.

Despite bets put down on Republicans, Phelps said the betting house’s analysis “still strongly favors the Democrats.”

“Democrats are the overwhelming favorites for the House at 1/16 and comfortable favorites for the Senate at 1/2, with the market largely holding firm after the big move in their favor,” Phelps said.

Those odds imply that Democrats have about a 94% chance to take the House and about a 66% chance to take the Senate. Here’s where the betting odds stand for the 2026 midterms.
