Check those tickets. The Powerball jackpot has climbed to $313 million, with a cash option of $133.6 million, for the drawing on Monday, Sept. 21 after no one matched all six numbers on Saturday.
While the jackpot continues to grow, Saturday’s drawing still produced a big winner. A player in New York matched five numbers to win $1 million. The last jackpot hit came Aug. 12, when an Illinois player won an estimated $1.04 billion, ending one of Powerball’s biggest runs ever.

When is the next Powerball drawing?
The next Powerball drawing is scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 23, at approximately 10:59 p.m. ET.
Drawings are held every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday, and can be watched live on Powerball’s website. Highlights and replays are also available on the lottery’s YouTube channel.

How to play Powerball
Powerball tickets cost $2 per play and are sold in 45 states, Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Depending on local laws, players may also be able to purchase tickets online.
To play, select five white-ball numbers from 1 to 69 and one red Powerball number from 1 to 26. Players can also add Power Play for an extra $1 to boost non-jackpot prizes by 2X, 3X, 4X, 5X or 10X.

To win the jackpot, a ticket must match all five white balls and the red Powerball. If no one wins, the jackpot rolls over and continues to grow.
Do you have to be a U.S. citizen or resident to play Powerball?
You do not have to be a U.S. citizen or resident to buy a Powerball ticket.
Anyone who meets the legal age requirement where the ticket is purchased, generally 18 or older, can play while visiting a participating jurisdiction. Winners who live outside the United States are eligible to claim prizes, although taxes may apply.
