What to Know
- A First Alert is in effect for the threat of strong storms from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. for areas along and northwest of the Interstate 95 corridor on Thursday, Aug. 27.
- Severe storms can produce damaging wind, isolated tornadoes, and heavy rainfall with many neighborhoods seeing one to two inches of rain and some spots picking up more than three inches, leading to a flash flood threat for our area on Thursday into the evening.
- The National Weather Service has posted a flood watch in effect from Thursday at noon until 4 a.m. on Friday morning.
- Flash flooding and strong straight-line winds are the primary concerns, however, hail and an isolated tornado cannot be ruled out.
