UPES claimed that its strategic collaboration with Google Cloud reached a new milestone with the celebration of Google Gemini Day on the campus and the rollout of 10,100 Gemini Enterprise for Education for students and faculty. The event brought together representatives from Google India, its technology deployment partner ParadigmIT and the UPES community. Among those present were India Head – EdTechs & Education, Google Cloud (India and SAARC) Vaibhav Kumar Srivastava; Google India’s Aanchal Chopra and Manoj Bhutani and CEO and MD, ParadigmIT, Sridhar Gadhi.
As part of Google Gemini Day, Srivastava conducted a specialised Google Gemini session for UPES students, which included an interaction and Q&A. The programme also featured demonstrations and conversations aimed at helping students understand how Gemini Enterprise can be used effectively and responsibly across academic disciplines.
Speaking on the occasion, the vice- chancellor, UPES, Sunil Rai said, “Our collaboration with Google Cloud is an important step towards developing graduates who are not only comfortable using emerging technologies, but have the confidence and capability to create with them responsibly.”
Srivastava said,“With the launch of the largest Gemini campus in northern India, we are very excited to partner with UPES and take this journey forward.”
With access to Gemini Enterprise, students and faculty at UPES will be able to explore advanced AI capabilities, develop AI-powered solutions, experiment with intelligent academic and research tools, and build practical familiarity with technologies that are reshaping industries and workplaces globally, the university sources said.
