Dutch couple pays Rs 600 for AC train journey from Delhi to Agra, shares honest take

A two-hour train ride from Delhi to Agra left a Dutch couple pleasantly surprised, especially after they realised their air-conditioned sleeper cabin had cost them just €6 (Rs 600).

Wes and Nico, a Dutch couple currently travelling in India, shared a video of their journey on Instagram. They offered an honest review of what they got for the price in the now-viral video.

The video showed snippets from their train journey, from the couple settling into their berths to vendors walking through the coaches selling food and drinks. They also recorded the view outside as the train made its way towards Agra.

“This is what €6 gets you on an Indian train,” they said, explaining that they were impressed by how clean their coach was.

They were also impressed by the cleanliness of the coach.

The couple was also delighted to find out that they could order food directly to the train. And if that did not work, vendors regularly walked through the coaches selling food and drinks.

The toilets, meanwhile, were exactly what they had expected, and not in a good way. They said, “Toilets, however, did not surprise us. But honestly, for €6, the train ride itself was actually pretty decent.”

Overall, though, the couple considered the trip an absolute bargain for the price.

Their honest review prompted plenty of reactions online. One person pointed out that the entire journey had cost about as much as a single sandwich in Europe, while others welcomed the couple to India and wished them well on their travels.

Another user said feedback such as theirs could help improve the railway experience, while compliments would serve as encouragement to continue making things better.
