USA TODAY Sports Super 15 Midwest region football rankings, Week 6

There is no movement at the top of the Midwest Region rankings.

After flipping the No. 1 spot four times in six weeks in the 2026 high school football season, Brownsburg (IN) remains the top team in the USA TODAY Sports’ Midwest rankings, according to the latest USA TODAY Sports Week Super 25 rankings.

However, the Bulldogs put their 24-game winning streak on the line against Westfield (IN) in a showdown of two powerhouses in the state later this week. A win would help cement another week on top. A loss would give the Midwest Region a brand new No. 1 again next week.

Here are USA TODAY Sports’ Week 6 Midwest Region Super 15 rankings.

1. Brownsburg (IN)

Record: 5-0

Next game: Friday, Sept. 25, vs. Westfield (IN), 7 p.m. ET

With another dominant 49-10 win over Fishers (IN) last weekend, Brownsburg has now won 24 straight games dating back to the 2024 season. The Bulldogs were led by running back Brady Lewis’ 89-yard, two-touchdown performance in the victory.

2. Massillon (Washington, OH)

Record: 5-0

Next game: Friday, Oct. 2, vs. Farrell (PA), 7 p.m. ET

Massillon withstood a late comeback from St. Edward (OH) to hold onto a 23-21 victory to remain unbeaten this season. Sophomore running back Gary Yeager put together a big night with 226 rushing yards and two touchdowns to pull out the close victory.

3. Trinity (Louisville, KY)

Record: 4-1

Next game: Friday, Sept. 25, vs. St. Xavier (KY), 7 p.m. ET

The Shamrocks bounced back from a tough loss to Chattanooga (TN) with a 34-0 win over Male (KY) in a rain-shortened game. The game was called due to inclement weather in the second quarter. Elijah Burns-Crump returned an interception for a 50-yard TD on the first defensive drive to set up the dominant victory.

4. East St. Louis (IL)

Record: 4-1

Next game: Friday, Sept. 25, at Edwardsville (IL), 7 p.m. ET

The Fylers dominated Belleville East (IL) 61-0 to move to 4-1 on the season. For East St. Louis, the win on the football field came after the IHSA granted the school permission to play up at the 7A classification for this football season.

5. Big Walnut (Sunbury, OH)

Record: 5-0

Next game: Friday, Sept. 25, at Ironton (IL), 7:30 p.m. ET

After being shut out and trailing after the first quarter, Big Walnut dominated Westerville South (OH) for a 45-14 victory. The Eagles scored 45 unanswered points to earn the dominant win.

6. Bishop Watterson (OH)

Record: 5-0

Next game: Friday, Sept. 25, vs. St. Frances DeSales (OH), 7 p.m. ET

Bishop Watterson jumped out to a 43-0 halftime lead to defeat Harvest Prep 50-6. Michigan State commit Jack Schuler helped the Eagles hold Harvest Prep scoreless through the first three quarters.

7. Elder (Cincinnati, OH)

Record: 5-0

Next game: Friday, Sept. 25, vs. St. Xavier (OH), 7 p.m. ET

After beating St. Xavier (KY) 31-0, Elder jumps up six spots from No. 13 to No. 7. The Panthers earned a second consecutive shutout, with their defense picking up as the season hits the middle point. They have allowed 30 points through five games, with Covington Catholic scoring 20 of those.

8. Mt. Carmel (Chicago, IL)

Record: 4-1

Next game: Friday, Sept. 25, at Brother Rice (IL), 7:30 p.m. ET

Mt. Carmel dominated St. Patrick (IL) to cruise to a 55-7 victory. Running back Nathan Samuels racked up 159 rushing yards and two scores on just seven carries, while quarterback Brady Cloherty had 192 yards and two touchdowns passing, including a 92-yard pass to Marshaun Thornton.

9. Detroit Catholic Central (Novi, MI)

Record: 4-0

Next game: Friday, Sept. 25, at St. John’s Jesuit (OH), 7 p.m. ET

Gideon Gash returned two punts for touchdowns as Detroit Catholic Central beat De La Salle Collegiate (MI) 53-0 on Friday, Sept. 18. The Shamrocks have scored 50 points in all four games this season, outscoring opponents 220-28.

10. Cass Tech (Detroit, MI)

Record: 4-0

Next game: Friday, Sept. 25, vs. King (MI), 5 p.m. ET

Cass Tech earned its third shutout of the season in four games, beating Mumford (MI), 52-0. Standout playmaker Julian Taylor scored three touchdowns to lead the offense, which played the second half with a running clock due to the blowout nature.

11. St. Edward (Lakewood, OH)

Record: 4-1

Next game: Saturday, Sept. 26, vs. John’s (DC), 1 p.m. ET

Despite a late comeback attempt, St. Edward fell short against Massillon in a competitive matchup. The Eagles had an opportunity for a last-second Hail Mary attempt, but the pass was broken up by Ohio State recruit Deontay Malone to thwart the comeback.

12. Millard South (Omaha, NE)

Record: 4-0

Next game: Friday, Sept. 25, vs. Omaha North (NE), 7 p.m. CT

Five-star QB Trae Taylor had himself a night on Friday, Sept. 18. In the 55-40 win over Cardinal Ritter College Prep (MO), Taylor accounted for eight touchdowns (five throwing and three rushing) to go along with 350 passing yards and 143 rushing yards.

13. Anderson (Cincinnati, OH)

Record: 4-1

Next game: Friday, Sept. 25, at Milford (OH), 7 p.m. ET

In a shootout, Anderson earned a 49-33 win over rival Kings (OH). Senior linebacker Antwoine Higgins racked up 15 tackles (8 solo), 4.5 tackles for loss and a sack in the victory.

14. Warren Central (Indianapolis, IN)

Record: 5-0

Next game: Saturday, Sept 26, vs. Pike (IN) 2 p.m. ET

Behind freshman QB Anthony Dennison, Warren Central continued its perfect season with a 25-8 win over Ben Davis (IN). Dennison finished 23-for-37 passing for 234 yards and two touchdowns.

15. Princeton (Cincinnati, OH)

Record: 5-0

Next game: Friday, Sept. 25, at Lakota East (OH), 7 p.m. ET

Despite turning the ball over six times, Princeton survived Lakota West (OH) to earn a 27-24 win. Running back Jordan Hall scored a four-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter, which proved to be the game-winner. Hall finished with three touchdowns.
