SALINAS, Calif. —
The Monterey County Sheriff’s Office will hold a press conference Thursday to discuss the investigation into the death of Baby Angelita and the recent arrest of Sergio Galvez Perez in Mexico.
The Sheriff’s Office said the briefing will include information about efforts coordinated with the FBI and Mexican authorities to locate and rescue Galvez Perez’s 14-year-old daughter, whom he is accused of raping and impregnating.
The circumstances involving Galvez Perez and his daughter are part of the ongoing investigation into Baby Angelita’s death. The infant was found dead Aug. 1.
The press conference will feature the Monterey County sheriff, the lead investigator, and an FBI special agent in charge.
