Allegheny County is inviting students in grades 9 through 12 who live in the county to create a new “I Voted” sticker that could be handed to voters during the 2027 election cycle.
The contest opened Oct. 1 and runs through Dec. 31, according to a community announcement. Student submissions will be reviewed by the Elections “I Voted” Sticker Committee, which will select 10 finalists for a public vote scheduled for January 2027.
The winning design is expected to be announced in early February 2027. County officials plan to print the winning sticker and distribute it to voters during the 2027 primary and general elections.
The contest is open to Allegheny County residents enrolled in grades 9 through 12 and encourages students to combine creativity with civic engagement through the voting process.
Public voting will determine winner
Once the committee selects 10 finalists, residents will then have an opportunity to vote for their favorite sticker during a public selection process in January 2027. The design receiving the most support will become the county’s official “I Voted” sticker for the 2027 elections.
