Ruston (LA) five-star tight end Ahmad Hudson is one of the few athletes that can claim five-star status in both football and basketball.
In Ruston’s 56-21 win over Ouachita Parish (LA) on Friday, Oct. 10, the future LSU Tiger showed fans some of the skills he’ll be able to flash on the basketball court despite being on the football field, earning this week’s USA TODAY Sports Play of the Week.

Already leading and with the Bearcats in the red zone, Hudson rose up between a pair of defenders and came away with the ball in one of the better catches you’ll see this season.
A 6-6.5, 239-pounder, Hudson is one of the nation’s top prospects in both football and basketball. He’s ranked as the No. 20 overall prospect in the USA TODAY Sports composite football rankings and the No. 24 player in the composite basketball rankings.
