Pennsylvania-based Penske Logistics, a supply chain and logistics solutions company, recently announced it is an artificial intelligence platform for freight payments and will deploy AI agents to audit and resolve freight invoices.

Pallet, a company that builds AI systems that run physical operations, developed the solution. More than 70 supply chain organizations run the platform that works by deploying AI agents that learn how a company operates and then execute its work, on top of the systems that the company already runs.

“Pallet is enabling us to move from reactive execution to more proactive, intelligent operations,” Andy Moses, Penske Logistics senior vice president solutions, said. “Freight payment has always required a balance between accuracy, speed and scale. Pallet’s AI agents give us the ability to review a much larger volume of transactions with greater consistency. It also helps us identify discrepancies faster while allowing our teams to focus on higher-value exception management and customer support.”

Penske will use the system within its existing systems and carrier portals for tasks such as invoices, bills of lading, and rate tables to validate freight charges, identify discrepancies and resolve invoices. The company expects the agents to improve manual productivity by more than 60 percent once fully deployed.
