Ajit Agarkar’s tenure as India men’s chief selector ends

As a former India all-rounder, Agarkar was a regular feature in the late 1990s and 2000s, playing in 26 Tests, 191 ODIs, and four T20Is.

He was a part of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2007 squad that won the inaugural edition of the competition, bowled India to a historic Test win over Australia in 2003 at Adelaide and still holds the record for fastest fifty for an India batter in ODI cricket, a feat he achieved against Zimbabwe in 2000.
