Former Pro Bowl wide receiver Allen Robinson has officially retired from the NFL.
Robinson, who last played with the Detroit Lions in 2024, spent 11 seasons in the league − including four each with the Jacksonville Jaguars and Chicago Bears.
His best season came in his sophomore campaign in 2015, when he caught 80 passes for 1,400 yards and a league-leading 14 touchdowns for the Jags. He finished his career with 565 catches, 7,058 yards and 43 TDs.
In an Instagram video posted Monday, Aug. 24 − his 33rd birthday − Robinson thanked the sport and embraced “the beginning of a new chapter.”
Robinson was a second-round pick by the Jaguars out of Penn State in 2014.
After four seasons in Jacksonville, he signed with the Bears as a free agent in 2018. He went on to record a pair of 1,000-yard seasons in Chicago before playing with the Los Angeles Rams in 2022, Pittsburgh Steelers in 2023 and the Lions in 2024.
He did not play in the NFL last season.
“To every love story, there comes a final chapter,” Robinson wrote on Instagram. “Football gave me more than I ever could’ve imagined. It challenged me, shaped me, humbled me, and rewarded me in ways I’ll carry for the rest of my life.”
