On Wednesday, Treasury Secretary Bessent said the two countries had agreed to extend a bilateral trade truce through Jan. 10, according to NBC News. “We will extend what we call the ‘Busan Agreement’ — the economic détente between the two countries that was scheduled to end on Nov. 10 — that is going to be extended until Jan. 10,” Bessent told Fox News Channel, according to NBC News. He said January could bring either a broader economic agreement or simply a continuation of the existing arrangement beyond that date.
