Good news for Sikkim government employees ahead of the festive season.
The Sikkim Government has announced an increase in Dearness Allowance for state government employees, raising it from 58 per cent to 60 per cent with effect from January 1, 2026.
The Finance Department has also enhanced Dearness Relief for state government pensioners under the revised pay structure from 58 per cent to 60 per cent.
For employees and pensioners drawing salaries or pensions under the pre-revised pay structure, the DA and DR have been increased from 257 per cent to 262 per cent.
The revised rates will also benefit eligible contract and work-charged employees drawing revised pay under regular state government scales.
The Finance Department has further provided for corresponding increases for All India Service officers under both revised and pre-revised pay structures.
The hike is effective retrospectively from January 1, 2026, providing additional financial benefit to eligible employees and pensioners.
