KALISPELL, Mont. — Glacier Park International Airport gets national recognition as one of USA Today’s 10 best resort airports.
The recently expanded terminal offers a different experience from the airport’s old building, focusing more on comfort, convenience, and the look and feel of Montana.
From upgrades to the food and beverage program and more thoughtful seating and layout, the goal was streamlining travelers’ airport navigation while improving their visit’s quality.
“We really try to focus on our customer experience. We want this to be a seamless airport experience as possible for the travelers that come through here,” said Rob Ratkowski, airport director at GPIA. “In addition, we also focused on aesthetics, and so not only is it a functional space, it’s also beautiful, and people just enjoy being in those kinds of spaces.”
Ratkowski said the design was intentional, incorporating Montana’s character and hospitality into a space that serves as a gateway to the Flathead Valley and Glacier National Park.
