Commuters in Philadelphia are facing an onslaught of bus route changes as SEPTA unveils Phase 1 of its “New Bus Network.”
The first round of changes, going into effect Aug. 23 and 24, include a number of bus route realignments and service changes, including six extensions and seven discontinuations.
Phase 2 and 3 are expected in February and June of 2027, bringing forth more SEPTA expansions, alignment changes and numerous “SEPTA Go Zone”
What routes are being discontinued on SEPTA?
According to SEPTA, the following routes will be discontinued in Phase 1:

Route 35 – Riders can instead use Routes 9, 27, 61

Route 47M – Rider can instead use Routes 45, 47, 57

Route 62 – Riders can instead use Routes 9, 27, 6, Norristown/Manayunk Line

Route 80 – Riders can instead use Routes 22, 51, 55, 72, 310

Route 89 – Riders can instead use Routes 3, 5, 25, 39, 41, 43, 53, 56, 75, 76, K

Route 106 – Riders can instead use Routes M, 31, 65, 103, 105, Paoli/Thorndale Line
