As the war with Iran pushes its munitions stocks to dangerously low levels, the Defense Department has not signed new contracts to replenish its supplies, according to two U.S. officials and two people familiar with the matter. NBC News’ Gordon Lubold details the kinds of weapons and their importance to the Middle East conflict.
