Uber is expanding access to an AI-powered work platform to more than 30,000 employees globally, alongside dedicated training and an internal library of AI skills, as the company seeks to strengthen workforce capabilities across functions.
The rollout follows an initial pilot involving 1,000 employees and will extend access to teams across operations, finance, marketing and product. The initiative is designed to help employees handle complex, multi-step tasks, conduct research, analyse data, prepare meeting briefs and create presentations.
As part of the programme, Uber will provide employees with dedicated training, approved integrations and an internal AI skills library to support the adoption of the technology in their daily work. The platform can also connect with workplace applications such as Google Drive, Gmail, Google Calendar and Slack, enabling employees to complete tasks across different systems.
The initiative marks Uber’s first company-wide deployment of an agentic platform for knowledge work. The company’s software developers and engineering teams will continue using Codex to support software development and streamline coding workflows.
The expansion forms part of Uber’s broader strategy to integrate AI into its operations and equip employees with tools to improve productivity. The company and OpenAI have said they plan to share further insights into employee adoption, use cases and measurable outcomes as the rollout progresses.
