In Patidar’s absence, Shubham Sharma will lead the side, which has a strong bowling line-up comprising Avesh Khan, Kuldeep Sen, Saransh Jain, Kumar Kartikeya and Shivang Kumar among others.
Last season, MP had topped their group with three wins and four draws from seven games to qualify for the knockout. But they lost to eventual champions Jammu and Kashmir in the quarter-final at home. Coincidentally, MP start their 2026-27 season too against Jammu and Kashmir, although in Srinagar.
