USA Today Co. Walks Back 2026 Outlook, Launches $100 Million Cost-Cutting Program

A text card reading: "32% - Drop in USA Today Co's indirect ad revenue as Google traffic shifted." The image illustrates a news story about the company's Q3 2026 earnings release, which saw it downgrade its full-year guidance and announce an already-completed $100 million cost-cutting round.

USA Today Co cut its 2026 outlook on Thursday, three months after reaffirming it, and announced a second $100 million annualized cost reduction program in just over a year as digital ad revenue slumped.

The company now expects adjusted EBITDA to decline for the year, after previously expecting growth, and same-store revenue to fall in the mid-single digits, versus a low-single-digit decline previously.
