The Powerball jackpot rose to $360 million with a cash value of $149.8 million ahead of the Saturday, Sept. 26 drawing, after no one took home the jackpot on Wednesday.
The most recent win happened Aug. 12 when a player in Illinois took home the estimated $1.040 billion jackpot. After months of rollovers, the prize became one of the largest jackpots Powerball has ever awarded.
Although no one took home the jackpot on Wednesday, Sept. 23, two players, one from Georgia and another from Pennsylvania, had themselves a good night, winning $1 million each.

When is the next Powerball drawing?
The next Powerball drawing will take place on Monday, September 28, at around 10:59 p.m. ET. The drawing can be watched live on Powerball’s website, and players can rewatch clips on its YouTube channel.
Powerball drawings occur every week on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday.

How to play Powerball
Powerball tickets cost $2 per play and are sold in 45 states, Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Depending on local laws, players may also be able to purchase tickets online.
To play, select five white-ball numbers from 1 to 69 and one red Powerball number from 1 to 26. Players can also add Power Play for an extra $1 to boost non-jackpot prizes by 2X, 3X, 4X, 5X or 10X.

To win the jackpot, a ticket must match all five white balls and the red Powerball. If no one wins, the jackpot rolls over and continues to grow.
Do you have to be a U.S. citizen or resident to play Powerball?
You do not have to be a U.S. citizen or resident to buy a Powerball ticket.
Anyone who meets the legal age requirement where the ticket is purchased, generally 18 or older, can play while visiting a participating jurisdiction. Winners who live outside the United States are eligible to claim prizes, although taxes may apply.
