The winning numbers for the Monday, Aug. 31, Powerball drawing are 11, 17, 25, 37, 49 and the Powerball is 10. The “Power Play” multiplier is 2x.

The estimated jackpot for Monday night’s drawing is $131 million, with a cash option of $56.8 million.

Why this drawing is different

Powerball recently expanded into the United Kingdom, allowing British players to compete for the same jackpot as players in the United States.

While ticket sales from both countries contribute to the shared jackpot, there are important differences. U.K. tickets cost more than those sold in the U.S., lower-tier prizes are awarded through a separate prize structure, and jackpot winners receive annual payments through the U.K. National Lottery.

Lottery officials say the move could boost ticket sales and help jackpots grow faster during future rollover runs.

When was the last Powerball jackpot winner?

The most recent jackpot win came on Aug. 12, when a ticket sold in Illinois matched all six numbers to win an estimated $1.04 billion prize.

If nobody wins Monday night’s jackpot, the next drawing will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 2, at approximately 10:59 p.m. ET.
