As Jenna Dewan prepares for another week on Dancing With the Stars, her co-star from The Rookie, Nathan Fillion, is talking about her run.
Jenna is currently competing on season 35 of the ABC competition series while filming season 9 of The Rookie. When Nathan was asked at New York Comic-Con on October 11 about what it’s been like to watch Jenna every week, he noted that the cast has been wildly supportive of her.
“We all get very excited on Tuesdays,” he told TV Line in an Instagram video posted on October 20. “We all get really wound up on Wednesdays. The discussions—they get loud. We’re all about it.”
What’s more, Nathan and creator/showrunner Alexi Hawley said that fans should expect to see The Rookie cast cheer Jenna on in the ballroom.
“We’re talking about it,” Nathan added while looking at Alexi.
As it turned out, Nathan’s words came true quickly. As fans saw in another Instagram video, he, Deric Augustine, Alyss Diaz, Melissa O’Neil, Lisseth Chavez, and Shawn Ashmore all supported Jenna during Dedication Night on October 20.
“#TheRookie cast sending their love and support to @jennadewan!” the caption read.
Fans were overjoyed to see the cast’s support.
“The Rookie fam always supporting each other 🥹♥️,” one person wrote in the comments. “The look on Jenna’s face when she saw all you, priceless 💙 What an amazing family 🫶,” another declared. “Not me tearing up watching The Rookie cast take over the ballroom 😭🥹 Jenna looked so happy,” a different follower added.
How sweet is this?
