YouTube launches AI creator tools, expands shopping to 35 countries

On the editing side, YouTube is introducing a conversational editing tool for Shorts and the YouTube Create app, powered by Gemini, that guides creators through edits including trimming pauses and reordering clips for pacing. YouTube Studio is also gaining new features: creators can get feedback on early drafts, generate thumbnails matched to their channel’s style, and run A/B tests on up to three different video cuts to measure audience retention, the company said. From 2027, that A/B testing capability will extend to Shorts, according to TechCrunch.
