Amanda Bynes is catching some flak for a fashion item she’s selling.
Earlier this week, the former Nickelodeon star, 40, took to Instagram and shared a video of a black handmade purse with purple trim and silver straps that she listed for sale on her brand’s website for $218.
“Play dead • the next bag drop • ★ newyorkspeed.co 𓅓 ★ ♥︎,” Bynes captioned her post.
The purse, called the “goth bag,” is currently sold out, per the New York Speed website.
Fans took to the comment section of the Instagram post to question the price and quality of the fashion item.

“This whole thing confused me.. especially the website bc wdym this cost $218,” one wrote.
“I literally thought somebody was weighing something with a trash bag…” a second admitted.
“This is so cheap looking,” a third added.
“The stitching is shocking for a supposedly ‘high end’ bag,” a fourth penned.
However, some fans liked the design and said so in the comments.
“They are very beautiful Amanda. Good job ❤️,” someone gushed.
“Too many haters in these comments. I’m proud of you Amanda for creating and putting your purses out there,” another wrote.
“Love the shimmerrrrr,” someone else raved.

One other bag is currently for sale on Bynes’ website, called the “prince$$ bag,” made in sparkly pink fabric and retailing for $218.
In July, Bynes posted a video on Instagram showing off some of her creations, explaining she “wanted to show the process of working on these bags,” and saying she would “post more” about them in the future.
