MUMBAI: Thursday is going to be a busy day for Dalal Street. While the much-awaited NSE IPO will open for subscription, the day will also witness the listing of six companies after their IPO bids closed last week.These companies, including RentoMojo, LCC Projects, Manipal Payment, ARCIL, Karamtara Engineering and Steamhouse India, had together garnered a total demand of about Rs 1.4 lakh crore against an IPO mobilisation target of Rs 7,100 crore.The Rs 22,568-crore NSE IPO will close on Sept 21. In the offer, some existing NSE shareholders together are selling a 5.1% stake in the country’s largest stock exchange. The offer is priced in a band of Rs 1,700-1,785/share.

Ahead of the opening of the offer, NSE’s grey market premium (GMP) took a hit on Wednesday and late in the evening was at Rs 160/share. The GMP hit a high of Rs 280 on Sept 7 and was at Rs 208 on Tuesday. GMP is the premium that the speculators are willing to offer in the unofficial market for shares of IPO-bound companies.Along with NSE, another company-Sonaselection India-is also set to open its Rs 141.6 crore IPO on Thursday. The issue will also close on Sept 21, exchange data showed. Of the six companies scheduled for listing, RentoMojo raised Rs 1,255.6 crore through the offer, while Karamtara Engineering raised Rs 875 crore, LCC Projects Rs 427 crore, Steamhouse India Rs 414 crore, Manipal Payment Rs 805 crore and ARCIL raised 733 crore.189 funds buy Rs 6,746cr NSE shares in anchor offerA mix of large global and domestic funds totalling 189 together bought nearly 3.8 crore shares of NSE at Rs 1,785 per share worth Rs 6,746 crore ahead of the opening of the IPO on Thursday. While shares worth Rs 3,863 crore were bought by domestic funds, the balance part worth Rs 2,883 crore were bought by foreign funds, an NSE release said.
