San Francisco 49ers RB Christian McCaffrey (non-injury) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Oct. 7.
Why it Matters: McCaffrey started the week with his typical day off, and the 49ers have been committed to managing his workload through the first four games. He has yet to reach 20 touches in a game, but he has scored four times in the last three contests. It will be interesting to see if the 49ers increase his usage in Week 5 in a divisional showdown against Seattle, but even in his current role, McCaffrey remains in the RB1 conversation.
