The Powerball jackpot has climbed to an estimated $562 million for Oct. 14 after no ticket matched all six numbers in the previous drawing. The cash option is estimated at $230.4 million.
The growing jackpot comes two months after a player in Illinois won an estimated $1.04 billion prize on Aug. 12, ending one of the game’s biggest runs in recent memory. Since then, no player has claimed the top prize, letting the jackpot keep growing ahead of the next drawing.
While no one won the jackpot, a player in the United Kingdom matched all five white balls to win $1 million in the most recent drawing.
