The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released its examination calendar covering December 2026 and the first three months of 2027, outlining the tentative schedule for several major entrance, admission, and eligibility examinations.
According to the published NTA calendar, December 2026 features five examinations. The Rashtriya Indian Military College examination is proposed to be held on December 6, 2026, and the SWAYAM examination is scheduled from December 8 to 12, spanning five days. The Rashtriya Military Schools examination is proposed for December 13 and will be conducted over one day. The UGC NET December 2026 cycle is scheduled from December 14 to 19, with December 20 and 21 designated as buffer dates. The Joint CSIR UGC NET December 2026 examination is proposed to be conducted on December 20 and 21.
Candidates appearing for these eligibility examinations will have to wait for the respective detailed notifications for information concerning registration, examination centres, city intimation, admit cards and other examination-related instructions.
The calendar also sets out the proposed dates for examinations scheduled during January, February and March 2027. The Army Cadets College exam will be conducted on January 4. Following this, the SHRESHTA (NETS) and NIFT Entrance Examination 2027 is slated for January 10, followed by JEE Main 2027 Session 1, which is proposed to be conducted from January 22 to 24 and again from January 28 to 30. January 31 has been kept as a buffer date for JEE Main. The All India Sainik Schools Entrance Examination (AISSEE) 2027 is also proposed to be held on January 31.
The CMAT 2027 examination has been scheduled for February 7, 2027, according to the tentative calendar. The National Initiative for Technical Teachers Training (NITTT) Part 1 examination is proposed to take place on February 26 and 27. The calendar then moves into March with the CUET PG 2027 examination scheduled across several dates — March 1 to 5, March 8 to 20 and March 24 to 25. NITTT Part 2 is proposed to be conducted on March 5 and 7.
Candidates should note that the dates mentioned in the NTA examination calendar are provisional and are not final examination schedules. The agency has clarified that the proposed dates may be altered because of administrative, academic, statutory or logistical requirements, as well as other circumstances that may arise.
